Gator Men Start Play In SEC Tournament Today
With a possible NCAA Tournament bid on the line, the University of Florida men's basketball team opens play tonight in the SEC Tournament in Nashville with a game against Auburn. Rock 104 and AM 850 will have the game for you live at 6:55pm. Florida is 20-11 on the year and finished 9-7 in the SEC but closed the season with three straight losses. Auburn may be playing to save the job of coach Jeff Lebo as the Tigers finished fifth in the SEC West with a 14-16 record and a 6-10 SEC mark.   more...

More Teams Punch Ticket To Big Dance
More teams have punched their tickets to the NCAA men's basketball tournament after winning conference tournament titles on Wednesday. Montana came from 22 points down to beat Weber State 66-65 to win the Big Sky Tournament. Anthony Johnson scores 42 to help Montana get back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in four years.   more...

Gator Baseball Tops Northern Illinois
The University of Florida baseball team used outstanding pitching and a grand slam home run from freshman Austin Maddox to defeat Northern Illinois 8-0 Wednesday night at McKethan Stadium. Gator starter Anthony DeSclafani who was bombed in his last start, was very impressive in this one, allowing only one hit and no runs as he pitched into the sixth inning. Relievers Steven Rodriguez, Michael Heller and Justin Poovey combined to allow only one more hit the rest of the way.   more...

NHRA Gatornationals Start Running Today
Weather permitting the 41st annual Gatornationals will begin today at Gainesville Raceway with just about all of the top stars of NHRA competing. Also competing is NASCAR veteran Kurt Busch, fresh off a NASCAR win in Atlanta last weekend; he's going to drive in the "Super Gas" competition after putting together a 1970 Dodge Challenger to run in the race.   more...

Several former University of Florida basketball players are currently playing in the NBA and here's an update on how they're doing. More teams have punched their tickets into the NCAA men's basketball tournament with wins in conference tournament finals last night. Siena is in after beating Fairfield 72-65 in overtime to win the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament. Edwin Ubiles scores 27 points, including two on a 360 dunk, to help Siena to the win.   more...
