- The top ranked University of Florida softball team begins postseason play as it hosts an NCAA Regional. AM 850 will have live coverage of Florida's game against Georgia Tech at 5:50 today. UCF (46-18) plays South Florida (44-18) in the opening game at 3:30 to be followed by Georgia Tech (31-29) and the Gators (62-2). Florida is the top seed for the entire NCAA Tournament. more...
- Gator Teams (Baseball, Women's Tennis) Get Wins
- The University of Florida baseball team comes from behind Thursday to defeat the Vanderbilt Commodores 8-6 thanks to a four run eighth inning. Seniors Bryson Barber and Brandon McArthur hit two run homers in the inning to give Florida (32-20, 15-13 SEC) the win. The victory now means the Gators are in fifth place overall in the SEC as they try to qualify for the SEC Tournament that starts next week. Vanderbilt clinched a spot in the tournament despite its loss on Thursday. The other SEC winners were LSU, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Tennessee. more...

- Brandon Webb is now 9-0 on the season after his Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Colorado Rockies 8-5 on Thursday. Webb, a former University of Kentucky pitcher, got early run support and made it stand up in getting the win. more...
- Spurs Force Game 7 With Win Over Hornets
- Manu Ginobili scored 25 points and Tim Duncan grabbed 15 rebounds to help the San Antonio Spurs beat the New Orleans Hornets 99-80 Thursday in San Antonio. The win forces a Game 7 in the series to be played in New Orleans. more...
- Gator Baseball Has Last Home Series
- The University of Florida closes out its regular season this weekend with a three game series that starts tonight when Vanderbilt comes to town. AM 850 will have live coverage starting at 6:30pm. Florida (31-20, 14-13 SEC) is looking to get enough wins this weekend to earn a trip to next week's SEC Tournament and to an NCAA regional as well. Vanderbilt (37-15, 15-11 SEC) is looking to do the same but most believe the Commodores are a lock for both the SEC Tournament and a regional already. more...
